Friday Favorites!

Hello and happy Friday! I hope this week has treated you so very well and that you are in a really great place. I’ve saved some fun foods and items to share with you all, so without further adieu, let’s get to it!

First up is the French toast of your dreams. I took the Aldi marbled cinnamon bread and soaked two thick slices in two scrambled eggs with milk. I cooked them in butter and also cooked the remainder of the eggs because waste not, want not. A drizzle of maple syrup completed them, and they were scrumptious. *pats self on back* 😉

I recently bought Bob’s Red Mill quick cooking oats, which cook up fluffier than old fashioned. I made them with milk, pinch of salt, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and banana then topped it with pb.

One evening I made us each a salad for dinner. Base of organic greens from Aldi, freshly shredded carrots, peppers, avocado, sauteed zucchini, tempeh for me (I can’t get enough right now!), honey vinaigrette, and gf rosemary crackers. So bright, crunchy, and delicious.

As we’ve been watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, we’ve noted the way they build a sandwich. One evening I wasn’t in a big mood to cook but whipped up these sandwiches: Canyon shelf-stable gf honey oat bread toasted with Havarti and hummus. I then added sauteed mushrooms and spinach with fresh parsley, smoked paprika, garlic, and lemon. Matt was clever and stuck a tomato and pickled on top with a toothpick. I loved it! We had leftover roasted Brussels and purple cauliflower on the side.

His. Look at that gooey cheese and warm hummus. Mmmm

After getting home from Barre3, I was able to put this together quickly. Italian herb polenta sliced and pan-cooked, sautéed shrimp with sun-dried tomato tapenade, and steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Matt had also ran the dishwasher and put away all of the dishes. It made cooking much more relaxing! Huge thanks to him.

Here’s a poorly lit outfit photo for ya. I love a fun tee with these ON diva jeans, lightweight cardigan, and flats. Nothing really unique but fun!

I love looking back at our wedding, and I wanted to share my dress once more. It will forever be a favorite! One of my friends said she’s always wanted to have a fancy girls night where everyone could wear their dress again. How fun would that be?!

This photo came up on my memories and made me smile SO big!! Sweet Mason when he was only about 2.5 years young. Look at that rosy pink nose and little teeth barely showing! I always could just eat him up – so handsome and adorable. ❤ ❤

Also, this photo was from April 4, 2015. My gosh, he just loved us so much, and we adored him!! He knew when we needed some extra love and snuggles.

So I can’t not officially mention this show. If you have Amazon Prime or can sign up for a free trial as we did, I highly recommend it!! We’re into season two and absolutely loving it. The fashion, the humor, the cast. It’s all so perfect!

Once we finish The Office and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, we will be watching The OA season two. Another fav.

A friend told me about this weather app, and I find it hilarious! It’s called WTForecast. You can opt out of the profanity, but I find it so humorous.

That’s all for today! Please share any favorites with me. I love learning about new things!

I totally go through Tempeh stages too. One of my favorite ways to make it is with veggies in a stuffed potato with tons of hummus. Mmm mm!
